Hand stitched Suzani from Uzbekistan

This blooming Tree of Life on hand loomed teal green silk ground is hand embroidered by one artist in a traditional chain stitch with a black and white flicker stitch outlining the indigo blue tree trunk, and floral elements. 

The stylized flowers are in shades of blue, green, ochre, brown, lavender, pink, yellow and red. The blooming tree of life is bordered with vining flowers, and ribbons.
