NOLA Atelier

With the success of Global Headquarters and the website, Rebecca was overjoyed when her daughter Sarah expressed interest in joining the family business. After a year of traveling together for book signings and presentations, Sarah brought a new chapter to life with the opening of B. Viz Design/New Orleans Atelier in late 2018.

Housed in a charming 1850s double shotgun shared with the esteemed antique shop Balzac, the Atelier has become a haven for signature antique textile pillows and stunning suzanis, most of which are lovingly housed and shipped from this location.

Adding an extra layer of enchantment and “pillow talk" the back room—fondly referred to as the “textile club”—is a treasure trove of antique metallic embroidery fragments, tapestries, and extraordinary textiles, perfect for framing, designing custom pillows, or simply admiring.  Sarah and Laurin are always happy to share their textile lore with interested design enthusiasts or history buffs.

Nestled in the heart of Magazine Street, surrounded by a vibrant mix of shops and restaurants, the Atelier is a destination of creativity and charm. We’re always delighted to share recommendations for the many wonderful places around us.

There are also boards of embroideries and appliqués as well as remnants of textiles you can use to design your own custom pillow.
