Applique Dress or Top from Thailand

While perusing a giant flea market in Thailand,  a huge smile spread across my face when I spotted these one of a kind fantastic, artistically appliqued clothes. Truly original and wonderful work by a family of women.

Variant A: This lavender applique cotton button up dress/jacket depicts a buck and doe in a colorful woodland scene with yellow, orange, and violet flowers as well as foliage in different shades of green The wonderful shading is produced by using multiple layers of various colors. The lavender ground is soft to the tough and has pockets along the side seams. Size: shoulder width 20 inches, arm length 20 inches, dress length 48 1/2 inches

Variant B: This soft white cotton tunic/jacket has a tie at the collar and five jade buttons. The darling appliqued cat and rabbit are sitting on mountain sides overlooking a stream with colorful red and gold fish. The green and blue applique waves and foliage with fish are so charming. Size: shoulder width 18 inches, arm length 15 inches, dress length 48 1/2 inches

Variant C: This army green soft cotton top/jacket has a large Peter Pan collar and gathered sleeves. The delightful field of applique anemones float in the sky over two deer standing on the forest floor. Size: shoulder width 23 inches, arm length 17 1/2 inches, dress length 42 inches

Variant D: Soft cotton light blue short sleeve kaftan with various sizes of whimsical appliqued pinkish tan polka dots. Size: shoulder width 23 inches, arm length 9 inches, dress length 50 inches

Variant E: Soft cotton purple taupe short sleeve kaftan with various sizes of whimsical appliqued light fuchsia polka dots. Size: shoulder width 23 inches, arm length 9 inches, dress length 50 inches

Variant F: Soft cotton sage green short sleeve kaftan with various sizes of whimsical appliqued Kelly green polka dots. Size: shoulder width 23 inches, arm length 9 inches, dress length 50 inches

Variant G: Soft cotton light mustard three quarter length sleeve kaftan with fantastic appliqued light yellow phoenix and stylized cloud applique with more clouds and an orb that could represent the sum or moon. Size: shoulder width 25 inches, arm length 18 inches, dress length 55 inches

Variant H: Soft cotton light blue three quarter length sleeve kaftan with fantastic appliqued darker blue phoenix and stylized cloud applique with more clouds and an orb that could represent the sum or moon. Size: shoulder width 25 inches, arm length 18 inches, dress length 55 inches
