Hand Stitched Suzani from Bukhara, Uzbekistan

This blooming tree of life on hand loomed a mauve/rose pink ground is hand embroidered by one artist in a traditional chain stitch with a red and white flicker stitch outlining the teal/turquoise tree trunk.

The stylized flowers are in shades of blue, green, ochre, brown, aubergine, pink, coral, yellow, and red. The blooming tree of life is bordered with vining flowers, ribbons, and is framed by a solid pink silk border.
