Hand stitched silk on silk suzani from Bukhara, Uzbekistan.

Large, stylized tulip motif in shades of blue, red, greens, pink, lavender, yellow on a hand loomed rose pink ground. Hand embroidered by one artist in a traditional chain stitch with flicker stitching adding depth and movement to the design.

Bordered with floral motif in hues of blue and red, and framed in pink silk.
