This blooming Tree of Life on hand loomed blue and white ikat ground is hand embroidered by one artist in a traditional chain stitch with a flicker stitch outlining the rusty red tree trunk and throughout adding movement and dimension to this incredible piece.
The stylized flowers are in shades of blue, green, ochre, brown, aubergine, pink and red, and there is a single serpent wrapped around the trunk of the tree. The serpent symbolizes protection, and is a bringer of wealth in Central Asia. The blooming tree of life is bordered with vining flowers.
